History of the International Show of Peace Concert
Rick Garson started his peace quest in the year 2000 when he had the opportunity to work with Pope John Paul ll. After his experiences, he was inspired to create a Peace Concert at the Vatican. When Pope John Paul ll died, Pope Benedict XVl wanted to give Rick the opportunity to host the concert but there were many logistical hurdles and Rick was forced to move the idea elsewhere.
In the year 2006, Rick was introduced to a newly discovered platform and focal point for a message of peace in the United Nations International Day of Peace. After trying to help the UN promote its best kept secret with an International Peace Day Concert on the grounds of the UN in Geneva, Switzerland, the project was brought to a halt due to war breaking out in Lebanon.
Now in 2009 after traveling all over the world, Rick’s journey has brought him to Beijing, China where he has now built a team and model to deliver one of the most positive and dynamic messages the world has ever seen come together in Oct, 2010.
